History of Gwarmacwydd
Gwarmacwydd house was the private residence of Rev. Richard Bowen Jones(1817 -1887) . Between 1840 when he became Rector of Cillymaenllwydd with Castell Dwyran until his death in 1887
He transformed the property from a small cottage to a fine residence.
The house remained in the Bowen Jones family until 1954 when it was acquired by Vaughn Thomas who farmed but did not improve or change the property.
When we purchased the house and 105 acres of land in 1985, it was in desperate need of renovation and improvement.
